Set extension keyboard shortcuts
Extensions can declare commands that appear alongside Crest’s own keyboard shortcuts. Extension commands apply only to the selected Space and device.
Assign or change a shortcut
- Open Crest Settings → Shortcuts.
- If you use more than one Space, choose the Extension Space near the search field.
- Search for the extension or command.
- Select the shortcut recorder beside the command.
- Press a supported key with Command, Option, Control, or Shift.
Crest commands take priority. If the shortcut is already in use, Crest shows the conflicting commands and asks whether you want to Replace Existing Shortcut.
Clear or restore a command
Open the action menu beside an extension command:
- Clear Shortcut removes the current assignment.
- Reset to Extension Default restores the shortcut declared by the extension.
Changing one Space’s extension shortcut does not change the same extension in another Space or on another device.
Opened from an extension
If an extension sends you to its shortcut configuration page, Crest routes that request to Shortcuts, selects the correct Space, and highlights the requested command.
